Know what you’re sharing with Marshal

The easiest way to scan your cloud for exposed data.

--

Today, we are pleased to announce the public beta launch of Marshal, a new web-based DLP product that scans your cloud storage services for exposed and potentially damaging sensitive data.

Know what you’re sharing
We built Marshal on the belief that every business should know exactly what it is sharing.

With Marshal, anyone can visit https://marshal.io, connect their Box, Dropbox, Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive accounts and immediately scan their files for any exposed Social Security Numbers, credit card numbers, email addresses or phone numbers.

In minutes, Marshal creates a secure, redacted report identifying what exposed data you have, where it’s located and who still has access to those files.

More files, more sharing, more exposure
There are two big reasons to use Marshal:

  1. Companies are storing more data in the cloud. There’s no going back from the efficiency the cloud offers. As companies store more files, there is an increased risk of including exposed sensitive data. Additionally, dormant legacy files no longer in active use may already contain sensitive exposed data.
  2. More people have access to those files. Do you know who (still) can read or download your files? Between employees, contractors, customers, clients, vendors, ex-employees and others, new and legacy data is shared with a greater number of people. More people with access means more chance of data leaks.

Discover data threats right now
When we looked at the current DLP space we noticed that almost all providers either required you to install software or sit through a sales demo to get you to sign a large enterprise contract. That’s no good if you want to see if you are exposing sensitive data right now.

With Marshal, you can scan your cloud storage accounts immediately for any lurking exposed data threats and take action. Seriously. It’s the simplest way to see if you are hosting data threats.

Run a free scan yourself and please send us feedback. Over the coming weeks and months we’ll be adding more features, to make Marshal the best way to scan for sensitive data wherever you store it in the cloud.
