New look, new features, same great service

The Marshal site gets a refresh and adds editing to reports.

We are always working on Marshal to improve the service and make the whole experience better. Which is why we are happy (and proud, and excited) to officially unveil a brand new look for our website as well as new editing features that help you customize your Marshal reports.

First, our new look. We’ve done a complete overhaul of our website to was redesigned to tell a compelling story and demonstrate the privacy features baked in to Marshal. Big thanks to our very own Karsten Rowe, who drove the redesign. The revamped site makes it easier to understand what Marshal is, how it works and how it can help people make their cloud more secure.

In fact, Marshal helped users uncover more than 11.6 million data threats lurking in their cloud services last year. And once set up, Marshal will continually and automatically update users if any sensitive information is uploaded to their connected services.

Right now, Marshal is the only way to immediately scan your cloud storage services like Dropbox and Google Drive to any exposed sensitive information like Social Security and credit card numbers for free. And today we are making Marshal even better with report edits.

Once you’ve set Marshal up and run your first scan, you can now add more services and data threats for Marshal to find. To access this new feature:

  • Click on the profile icon in the top right of the screen and select Settings from the drop down menu
  • On the settings page, click on Edit to either change the services Marshal scans or the data to find
  • This will bring up a modal where you can select the changes you want and save them.

Once your edits are made, your Marshal report and will now alert you should any of those new types of potentially exposed threats get uploaded to your cloud services.

We love these additions to Marshal and hope you do too. If you have any thoughts about how Marshal looks or works, drop us a line, or click the chat icon on the site to let us know what you think.
